Requirement of Energy Identification Certificate
The
10-year period recognized by Energy Efficiency Law No. 5627 for the issuance of ECB for existing buildings ends on May 2, 2017. According to the aforementioned law and the Energy Performance Regulation in buildings published in accordance with this law, after this date, it is mandatory to present the new owner or tenant of the building, the Energy Identification Certificate of the building to the new owner or tenant of the building, after this date.

No need for insulation and installation
Contrary to popular belief, there is no requirement for insulation or sheathing for the Energy Identity Document.

The authorization of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources is a condition

conjunction with the Energy Performance Regulation in buildings, just as a DASK certificate is sought in land title offices in transactions, the ECB will also be sought after May 2, 2017. Without the EKB, the sale of housing will not be possible. The EKB certificate will be sought when renewing the new tenant's natural gas, electricity and water subscriptions. Just as the safety of the building against earthquakes is measured with the DASK certificate, all the data will be reached with the EKB, from the heating of the building to its cooling. Only 5 percent of 7 million buildings have an ECB
Stating that the number of buildings under this coverage was estimated to be around 7 million in Turkey before January 1, 2011, SZUTEST General Manager Işılar said: “Unfortunately, so far only 5 percent of the existing buildings have removed their ECBs. Since the ECB regulation will be very intensive after May 2, 2017, it is a victim of building owners who want to sell or rent their building. They need to hurry so as not to meet them.”
Do not give credence to organizations that the Ministry does not authorize
