Apartment Noise Regulation. Residents of floors in an apartment

must follow a number of rules in order to live in peace. The first of these rules is the Apartment Noise Regulation.

Article 36 - (1) A person who causes noise in such a way as to disturb the peace and tranquility of others is fined fifty Turkish Lira.
(2) If this act is committed within the framework of the activity of a commercial enterprise, the natural or legal person who owns the business is subject to an administrative fine ranging from one thousand Turkish Lira to five thousand Turkish Lira.
(3) The administrative fine is therefore decided by law enforcement or municipal court officials.

Article 123 on disturbing the peace and tranquility of

persons - Insisting on a person for the sole purpose of disturbing the peace and tranquility of a person; if he calls, makes noise or otherwise acts against the law for the same purpose, the perpetrator is sentenced to imprisonment from three months to one year upon the complaint of the victim.
