Building Risk Analysis Example

The obligation

to carry out risk assessment was also introduced to apartments by the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 from 01.01.2013. How to carry out the risk assessment is specified in the Occupational Health and Safety Risk Assessment Regulation, which entered into force on 30.12.2012

.

The risk assessment should be carried out taking into account the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, the Occupational Health and Safety Risk Assessment Regulation and international standards.

When

conducting a risk assessment, we need to apply the generally accepted stages of risk assessment, respectively. There are five stages of risk assessment. These are;

  • Identification of hazards,
  • Assessment of risks,
  • Rating of risks,
  • Implementation of control measures,
  • Audit, monitoring and review.

Accordingly, first we need to explore all parts of the apartment building to determine what are the dangers, what will harm people, the environment and other materials.

In the second phase, we determine what risks the hazards will cause. In the third phase, the risks are classified as low, medium and high. Measures to control the risks mentioned in the fourth phase are being implemented. In the fifth phase, audit monitoring and review processes are carried out. All these operations must be recorded. Here is a building risk analysis that needs to be done with all these considerations in mind!
